FAQs

How do I know if I need counseling or not?

If you feel what you are struggling with is interfering with your daily functioning, e.g. you cannot concentrate at work or at home, you find yourself feeling sad or worried or irritable all the time. Then, maybe it is time to seek professional help.
What can I expect from counseling?

I cannot guarantee that being in counseling will solve the problem, but with time, you will experience some positive changes in your life. I will do the best I can with the experience and training I have.

How does counseling work?

Usually, we will meet once a week for 50 minutes. During this time, we will focus on what you want to talk about. I may ask you questions, give you suggestions or actively listen as you talk about the issues that are bothering you. Some things we may work on are communications skills, family dynamics and increasing self-awareness.

Will other people know what we talk about?

Everything we talk about will be confidential, except for instances required by law. We will go over this at the beginning of therapy.

How do I get started?

Just give me a call at 262.679.1229 to set up an initial appointment.

I look forward to meeting with you soon.
